100% Tax Deduction for Donations to The Braj Foundation
Donations to The Braj Foundation are now eligible for 100% deduction under Section 35 AC of the Indian Income Tax. Under Section 35 AC of the Income Tax Act. Through a Gazette notification Dt. 12th July 2016, the Government of India, on recommendation from the National Committee for the Social & Economic Welfare, has notified the Project “Restoration of 137 Sacred Forests of Braj Region" as proposed by The Braj Foundation as an eligible project for the allowing 100% deduction of the contribution made by the Donor during 2016-17.
By donating to The Braj Foundation, not only you will help in reviving the sacred forests of Braj, but also help yourselves with 100% Tax exemption benefit.
This is an additional advantage of donating to The Braj Foundation as most of the donation to other NGO qualifies for only 50% deduction under Section 80 G of the Income Tax Act.
Please send us an email giving your PAN details along with your donation stating that the donation made by you is for the revival of Sacred Forests of Braj to qualify for 100% tax exemption.
Transparency & accountability is a part of our ethos
At all stages of project planning and execution, donors are kept informed of the money spent and progress made. At regular intervals we e-mail accounts & photos of the work being done at the site.
There are seperate systems of donation in Indian and foreign currencies. Those donating in Indian rupees are eligible for exemption under Section 80 (G) of the Income Tax Act of India.
The Braj Foundation is also registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) to receive donations in foreign currencies for projects specified by the donors.
