Mahotsavs in Braj

Solah kala sampoorn, ras raaj, Krishna is epitome of festivity his life is full of music, dance and ecstasy. For the past 5000 years Braj culture has influenced every dance form of India, music, sculpture, paintings, literature, theatre, cuisine of rest of the India. Braj in true sense is the cultural capital of India. There is so much to know that one lifetime will fall short.

We are not only restoring the environmental and cultural heritage sites of associated with Krishna Leela but are also reviving the festivity associated with these sites. Our Barsana Mahotsav and Brahm Kund Mahotsav are a few examples of our efforts to revive the great cultural traditions of Braj.

We are planning to host 6 festivals in Braj, these have been developed on the basis of shat ritus (6 seasons) and 6 clusters in Braj which have unique relevance in Krishna and His life. These are Kamyavan Mahotsav, Barsana Mahotsav, Goverdhan Mahotsav, Vrindavan Mahotsav and Golul Mahotsav. UP Tourism Dept has shown interest in joining hands. We need sponsors to make these events a star attraction in Braj.

If you want to contribute in financing, planning, designing or execution of these festivals, please feel free to contact the following:

Braj Mahotsavs in other towns

To showcase the Braj culture in other towns we have developed unique formats of Braj Mahotsavs, which we are regularly hosting in different towns with the financial support of local business community. We use this opportunity to present our approach of holistic development of Braj through power point presentations. Which are very powerful and pleasing. Many celebrities and well-know powerful people happily participate in these mahotavs. You too can co-host such mahotsav in your town through your club or organization. For further details you may write to us at info@brajfoundation.org.
